Lisa and Andrew met the modern way: on a dating app in 2022 thanks to Lisa’s Matron of Honor Ansley. The dating apps were not her favorite but after some convincing (it helped that Andrew was cute), Lisa was inclined to go! Their first date was at some local favorites for the both of them – Verde and Vero, what is better than some margaritas followed by pizza! Lisa just thought it was going to be another typical date but little to her surprise; Andrew’s charisma and sarcastic banter kept the night filled with laughter and conversation.

The beginning of their relationship was a bit humorous. Andrew, came on strong, so strong that he gifted her an Aubie painting a few weeks in (he knew she loved Auburn & art) and Lisa was taken back by his generosity and thoughtfulness. Lisa was very honest about having a wall up, but Andrew’s persistence and patience eventually won her over. If you ask Andrew, he would say he was all in from the beginning and knew there was something special about Lisa but he had to do a little convincing. He always tells people, “you just know when you know.”

Andrew and Lisa met each other’s family at Christmas. Lisa was visiting her family in Virginia and Andrew is from Virginia. Lisa knew he was the one the moment he started interacting with her family. A quote from her aunt, “He just fits in seamlessly with the family and is great,” Lisa could not have agreed more.

A few of Andrew and Lisa’s favorite memories from their time together are going to Braves games, random date nights at Verde, golf outings and just relaxing at home with their dog Murphy (who loves to bark at the TV).

Andrew proposed on May 5th, 2023 on the roof of the Mercedes Benz Stadium overlooking the Atlanta skyline. Prior to him proposing they did a full tour of the MBS with both of their families. Family is extremely important to Lisa and Andrew so having them there for such an important and special day made it even sweeter. Andrew and Lisa are very excited for their future as husband and wife! A fun fact is that they are the first couple to ever get engaged up on the roof – something special and unique for them to always remember!
